Despite it's lowly reputation as a birding hotspot I still managed 4 Western Palearctic ticks (Scopoli’s Shearwater, Long-legged Buzzard, Eastern Olivaceous Warbler and Cretzschmar’s Bunting) as well as other goodies, such as Yelkouan Shearwater and Scop's Owl. Another bonus was the incredible views of Loggerhead Turtles in Argostoli Harbour.
